Data residency and sovereignty
The record of your work has to stay in a specific place, under a specific jurisdiction. A multi-tenant vendor cloud cannot promise that, and no roadmap change fixes it.
Atlassian ended self-hosted Server and is winding down Data Center, and its only path forward is its cloud. For regulated and air-gapped teams, that fails a security review before it starts. We provide the self-hosted replacement for Jira and Confluence, and the controls to prove your data never left your perimeter.
Atlassian ended Server support in 2024 and is winding down Data Center, no new subscriptions for new customers as of 2026, read-only in March 2029. Its answer is Atlassian Cloud. For a whole class of organizations, that answer does not survive the first control question: where does the data live? These are the reasons a vendor cloud is a non-starter, and none of them go away because a roadmap changed.
The record of your work has to stay in a specific place, under a specific jurisdiction. A multi-tenant vendor cloud cannot promise that, and no roadmap change fixes it.
Finance, insurance, healthcare, and the public sector often cannot hand tickets, runbooks, and architecture docs to a third party. The data is in scope for the audit either way.
If the network has no path to the internet, a cloud tool is disqualified on day one. There is no configuration that makes a SaaS tracker reachable from an isolated network.
Adaptive Work is a self-hosted Jira alternative, tickets, boards, sprints, and approval workflows. Adaptive Knowledge is a self-hosted Confluence alternative, spaces, pages, permissions, and version history. Both run on the Adaptive Reservoir private-AI base, on hardware you control, and both can run fully air-gapped.
Because they share one platform, your tickets and your documentation are governed together, and can be queried by your own private AI, without any of it leaving your network.

The reasons a security team signs off: the data stays put, access is controlled, and the system produces its own evidence.
Adaptive Work and Adaptive Knowledge deploy on your hardware or in your own cloud tenancy, and can run fully air-gapped. Nothing phones home. There is no vendor cloud in the data path to review.
Single sign-on against your identity provider, role-based permissions on projects and spaces, and IP whitelisting so the system is only reachable from inside your network.
Approval workflows record who signed off and when, and page version history tracks every change. The evidence a regulator asks for is produced by the system, not reconstructed after the fact.
Leaving Atlassian is a project, and the migration is the part worth getting right. Our Integration and Migration Services team moves your projects, tickets, spaces, pages, attachments, and history into Adaptive Work and Adaptive Knowledge, maps your workflows and permissions, and validates the result before anyone switches over. It runs inside your environment, with no phone-home to a vendor.
How the migration works →
The questions security and compliance teams ask before they move.
Yes. Adaptive Work and Adaptive Knowledge deploy inside your perimeter, on-premise or in your own cloud tenancy, and can run with no outbound connectivity at all. They are built for environments where a cloud tool is not an option.
On your hardware or in your own cloud account, in your storage, under your jurisdiction. Nothing is sent to a third-party service, and there is no vendor cloud in the data path for your security team to review.
Approval workflows record who approved a change and when, and page version history captures every edit. Access is controlled by single sign-on and role-based permissions. The auditor pulls the evidence straight from the system, not from a scramble of exports.
Atlassian ended support for its Server products in 2024 and is winding down Data Center: no new Data Center subscriptions for new customers as of 2026, no new expansions after 2028, and the products go read-only in March 2029. The only path Atlassian offers is its cloud.
Yes. Our Integration and Migration Services team runs the move as a scoped engagement: projects, tickets, spaces, pages, attachments, and history, with workflow and permission mapping and a validated cutover before anyone switches over.
